About Arris

A women-owned, family-operated commercial general contractor in Tallahassee, building for public owners and institutions across North Florida.

Our story

People focused. Community driven.

Arris is a family company. Michelle and John R. Griffin started it in 2019 together with their son, John P. Griffin, with a simple idea: general contracting can be rigorous without being difficult to work with. Michelle leads Arris as president and qualifying agent for the company’s Certified General Contractor license (CGC1528335) — a Tallahassee native, FSU Interior Design graduate, certified General Contractor and licensed interior designer.

Today our team delivers new construction, renovation and historic restoration for counties, cities, universities and state agencies, including occupied, fully operational sites and multi-phase work, from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifying agent for Arris’s CGC license. A Tallahassee native, FSU Interior Design graduate, certified General Contractor and licensed interior designer.

John R. Griffin

Co-founder · Vice President · Certified General Contractor

Leads company operations and client relationships alongside Michelle.

John P. Griffin

Co-founder · Project Manager

Manages projects from preconstruction through closeout: schedule, budget, submittals and owner communication.
